Crystal Stairs hosts a Benefit Night at the Theatre
The Musical “Crowns” brings the house for supporters of Crystal Stairs

Los Angeles, CA- On Saturday, May 9th, Crystal Stairs hosted a night at the theatre to benefit the agency’s work on behalf of children and families.

Crystal Stairs donors came out to support the agency’s mission and work by attending an opening weekend performance of Crowns, the new musical presented by Regina Taylor and the Ebony Repertory Theatre, a young theatre group housed in the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center. The musical is a wonderful tribute to African-American women, the traditions of hats and church, and love within the black community. The event was a wonderful way to celebrate mothers and daughters and turned out to be a fabulous precursor to Mother’s Day.

“Crystal Stairs remains committed to our community, the families and children with which we serve, and to our supporters”, said Holly J. Mitchell, CEO of Crystal Stairs. “But we also think it is a good idea to have some fun every now and again, and events like this allow us to celebrate our work, while partnering with other community organizations and raise some money for our cause. And I these uncertain times, we are humbled by the generosity of our supporters”.

A portion of the proceeds from that evening’s performance went to benefit Crystal Stairs. Crystal Stairs is a private non-profit child development corporation that helps families find and pay for child care and works with early care educators to enhance the quality of services that they provide to children in their care.
